Blog #4: Stress and Workshop.

WORKSHOP. A simple but terrifying word.
Every architecture student knows that’s the place where you must give your 200% to have a considerable grade. I spend my whole day in it: thinking about my next project, how I’m going to make it, which materials I have to buy, what my teachers want… And then after thinking all of that stuff, start doing the project. It’s completely normal the fact that I have to stay awake a whole night cutting paperboards and wooden sticks, or drawing and painting a huge sheet, everything for the next day at afternoon.

And for what? To know that the next day when I get to the class to present my project… Notice that my teacher hates it and starts to complain of every work of my classmates and also mine. But it’s not just that, letting a whole day, or week, for doing a project, you have to focus only on that, and set aside all of the other classes, sometimes you can get absent, or fall asleep in the middle of the class, or haven’t even studied for a test or read an essay.
It’s really depressing to know that even though you put so much effort in something that is the best you can do, but isn’t what the teachers wanted… is stressful.

Maybe I have those issues because it’s just my first year at university, and I have to learn a lot about time management and mind focusing. The only thing that I can say is that you have to be perseverant and trust in yourself and your abilities, and for sure you can get everything you propose.
